My Bio

I’ve been married for nearly two decades and every year is better than the last. Mark and I were married the year before he graduated from medical school. I worked full-time in technical communications and took care of the house while my husband finished medical school.

After medical school came residency and then private practice. I eventually quit work to stay home and raise our children while Mark worked on putting more letters after his name. I’ve never been one to do things half way, so I took on my new role as a my next career.

When my husband became a full-time hospital administrator, I realized there were times when he needed someone to have his back. The more I did to help my husband be successful… the more fulfilled we both were and the closer we grew together. I evolved into a wingspouse™ and partnered with my husband to take on the challenges as a team. I redefined the executive wife and blew the traditional role out of the water! I believed a modern woman could be successful and still have family values.

Now that he is a healthcare advisor, my role has changed slightly, though I’m starting to realize a wingspouse approach is an advantage in any career. I’m currently working on a book about my evolution, but for now I am offering some of my insight through this website. I want to share the lessons I’ve learned over the years, and the nice little tips and tricks that came in handy.

I started out offering my services as a consultant, but have really enjoyed just answering emails and meeting new people. If you have a question, send me an email. If you would like to show your appreciation for my blog, buy me a latte. I love a good cup of java.

I may be a wingspouse, but I’m still a geek on the inside. If you want to know that side of me, check out my personal page. I have written a book on using Twitter for small business, and really enjoy helping others take advantage of new technology.
